Welcome to “The Streets of Smyrna”. I decided to do this project because the people of Smyrna are in danger of losing their connection with the history of our town.
Few know who Lowry is, or Adeline King is, and only a smattering of people know who Sam Ridley is. I thought that through this website that information on these people could be saved and used by students and historians.
I hope that you not only read the information, but help expand it. Do you know stories of these people that need to be shared? Are there streets missing that are named for your relatives? If so contact us and help us expand the website into a local resource.
